Common Sense, Where You Went?
By Maya
I really would like to see the world where common sense shall rediscover and take its rightful place again.
I am so stunned every single day to hear nonsense after nonsense, people not even bother with basic, simple, ordinary thought before just blasting it to the world. And I’m not talking about just folks in a crowd but speakers and such, celebrities being no doubt the worst. They think they can say anything that just randomly hits their brain and people would applaud. UNFORTUNATELY, so many do and that makes whole matter progressively worse.
I recently posted an article about “common sense“. And even not being remotely naive, still I somehow expect every day to hear something of great sense and value, something to surprise me and allow me to say:
“God, how glad I’m I was mistaking. This was really great and had so much sense”.
Well, no such a luck, instead I overheard, unintentionally…
That Al Gore speaks about saving our environment and makes endless thousands of dollars doing it, still feeding his own $35K monthly electricity use bill we all know, so don’t look to him to discover any common sense. But another example of attempt to become a shinning star going with “times,” S. Crow, supposedly is “saving” our dear Mother Earth from “choking” itself” by using “special bus” transportation (wow!) With neglectful small addition of about 30 buses with her friends following her… hmmm. Is she so stupid, or we are suppose to be? Someone who is not ashamed to recommend we should start saving on toilet paper usage? That’s what I call “brainy” recommendation. How great that she reminded us of that, how very thoughtful…but how about reminding Mr. John Travolta who owns 5 air-planes something about his total disregard for personal responsibility towards our suffering planet and us, humans, living on it. It is no matter what money can buy any more… I can go on with totally astonishing examples of human stupidity whole day long, but really, I do have enough just to hear about it…
However in this mayakas.com daily I wish to put thumb UP for Paul Mc Cartney. I know that he does for years in this particular instance lots of good and follows himself also what he preaches. Now, he was offered some “extraspecial” fuel economy limousine and when he found out transportation of it via air would use so much fuel that ordinary limousine would use to make a trip six times all over the globe, now, what our dear Paul used? I hope you are guessing right… yes, just old plain “common sense:)” So thumbs UP for Paul, proud owner of nowadays very rare commodity and ‘booo” for offering company. How peculiar, they have a brain enough to develop such a product and totally miss common sense. It seems that one without the other thrives just fine…and what a surprise that is!
Lets talk in common sense,
Maya
